If you think you may have a service-connected disability, you should attend to gain more knowledge and have a better understanding of the process and entitlements. - EVALUATING AND NEGOTIATING EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

Do you know an HMO from a PPO from a POS health plan? What is the difference between a defined contribution plan and a defined benefit plan? What is a FSA or a cafeteria plan and why should you care? This seminar teaches you all about private sector employee benefits, how they differ from the military benefits you currently enjoy and how to integrate private sector benefits with military retiree benefits. July 26-30, 8 AM – 4 PM, Building 29, Room 104
The Executive Transition Assistance Program (eTAP) provides imperative career information and accommodates the specific needs of senior military leaders. Catering to executive-level leadership and high-profile positions those senior leaders seek, eTAP expands on the Department of Labor’s TAP curriculum in a more sophisticated peer assemblage. The week-long class incorporates the Pre-Separation Counseling brief covering benefits and entitlements upon retirement from military service. By attending the eTAP, participants gain an in-depth knowledge base in the following areas: skill assessments and marketing strategies, career exploration, networking, today’s current job market, hiring and staffing challenges, resume preparation, industry standard interview attire, interview techniques and salary negotiations. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Both enlisted and officers – ranks no lower than O-5, WO-4 and E-8 and those within 2 years of retirement.
All workshops are provided by the Career Resource Management Center at Henderson Hall.

military experience including dates of experience, duty
description and associated civilian occupations. The VMET also allows you
to view all military training obtained during your
career. Each course listing includes date, length and description of
course. Some courses will list suggested semester hour
credits for educational evaluation. The VMET is extremely helpful to
service members who are thinking about or in the process of
