Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP)
The mission of the Marine Corps Family Team Building Program at Henderson Hall is to provide programs and services to encourage personal growth and strengthen the family for continual readiness. These programs are free of charge. We face a unique challenge here at Henderson Hall because the Marines and the families we serve are spread throughout the National Capital Region. However, we strive everyday to reach out to those families whether they come here to us or we go to their commands to reach them. Marine Corps Family Team Building is comprised of six programs aboard Henderson Hall.
- How to communicate better and solve problems
- How to handle disagreements and conflict
- How to promote a sense of working as a team
- How men and women communicate differently
- How to keep friendship, fun and intimacy alive
- How to strengthen your commitment to each other
Classes are one-day and are facilitated by the LifeSkills Trainer, in conjunction with the 8th and I Chaplain. It is strongly encouraged that Marines who are engaged or considering getting married attend with their significant other. This class is also open to all married couples looking to improve communication. Civilian attire, please. DoD civilian employees welcome. Contact the LifeSkills Trainer to RSVP for an upcoming class schedule: 703-693-8906.
