A collection of classes, workshops, and events are offered to enhance your life in multiple areas. Subjects that are offered include anger management, stress management, communication & conflict resolution, and Rape Aggression Defense (RAD).

Anger Management
Learn 8 anger control tools before it’s too late! Class meets Wednesday mornings at Henderson Hall from 0900-1100 unless otherwise noted. In this eight week class, participants will learn the eight tools to anger management. Topics include dealing with stress, empathy, learning to respond differently to situations, identifying negative self talk, communication skills, adjusting expectations, time outs, and forgiveness. Crossroads Parenting Classes
This parenting series is designed for parents of any age children and provides a basic set of tools to assist with the parental role. Topics covered include knowing your children, communication styles, learning what motivates your child, and discipline techniques. This class is typically offered in two afternoon workshops however, can be tailored to fit specific individuals needs. Classes may also be offered at different installations upon request.
Real Colors/Real Stress
Real Colors/Real Stress is a communication and stress management workshop based on identifying personality temperaments. This evidence based curriculum focuses on how you prefer to communicate and in turn, how to work well with others in both a personal and professional capacity. Stress management plans and techniques are developed with an emphasis on what works for you! This is an excellent class to be offered as a Unit PME. Married & Loving It!
This five week workshop is designed for newly engaged or recently married couples. Married and Loving It teaches relationship building skills for couples, helping them strengthen their relationships and develop a happy, healthy marriage. Couples will work on various skills such as financial management, anger and communication building techniques, and additional joint decision making topics. Rape Aggression Defense Systems (RAD)
RAD is a four session dynamic self- defense class aimed to teach women (ages 12 and up) prevention techniques and basic skills to protect themselves. The mission of the class is to develop and enhance the options of self defense, so that they may become viable options to the woman who is attacked. Female DoD ID holders are all welcome to attend this free class! Advanced RAD and Keychain defense are also offered throughout the year. Next Class: February 6, 8, 13 & 15.

How to Avoid Falling for a Jerk: A Healthy Relationships Class
The curriculum is designed to be a four week (two hour) workshop that focuses on how to follow your heart while not minimizing and overlooking problems that are evident early in a relationship. The classes teach participants how to identify early on the behaviors that are red flags for future conflict, and emphasizes five crucial areas to explore with a dating partner. Classes will be offered at Henderson Hall and can be arranged at additional installations as Unit PME’s at the convenience of Command. This is a great prevention course for single, dating, and recently married Marines. Please call for details or to arrange a PME.
CORE Issues
This six- week educational group is designed for individuals (both male and female) who are experiencing difficulties in their relationships. The group focuses on the cycle of conflict, family roles, emotional management, impulse control, recognizing power and control struggles in personal relationships, and improving communication skills. While anyone who is interested may attend, registration and an intake/referral from command or the Family Advocacy Program is required. Please call for further information.
Men’s Group
The Men’s 16-week group is a domestic violence treatment group designed for male participants who have been referred to attend. Group topics include communication techniques, power and control dynamics, accepting responsibility for actions and minimizing blame in intimate partner relationships. Participants must pre-register and be referred by a Family Advocacy Program, court-ordered, or with strong Command support. Group is offered free for service members and family members.
